TRIP DETAILS
Day 01: Hanoi - Da Bac
Embark on a scenic drive through the verdant countryside until we reach the serene Sung Village nestled within the mountain landscapes of Da Bac in Hoa Binh Province.
Upon arrival, you will be warmly greeted by the Dao ethnic minority, renowned for their vibrant cultural traditions and genuine hospitality.
After checking in to a local homestay, a traditional house of the ethnic Dzao people, take a moment to unwind and soak in the tranquil surroundings. Lunch will be served, offering a taste of local flavors.
In the afternoon, enjoy a walking tour around the village, visiting local homes and brocade weaving workshops where skilled artisans craft delicate fabrics using natural pigments and intricate embroidery techniques. Next, visit Sung Cave, an enchanting underground marvel adorned with captivating rock formations and hidden chambers. Later, explore San Tuyet tea hill, where centuries-old tea plants thrive, producing some of the finest tea in the country.
Return to your homestay to relax and indulge in a sumptuous dinner featuring local delicacies prepared with care by your hosts. Engage in lively conversation with members of the community, sharing stories and laughter.
Day 02: Da Bac - Hoa Binh Lake - Hanoi
After breakfast, bid farewell to your hosts and embark on a 2-hour scenic trek (covering 9km) towards Mong stream, amidst the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape.
Upon arrival at Mong stream, enjoy a leisurely boat cruise on the expansive waters of Hoa Binh Lake, one of the largest man-made lakes in the country. Admire the breathtaking scenery of majestic mountains and forest-covered hills rising from the emerald waters, often likened to the famed Halong Bay on land.
Arriving at Da Bia Village, soak up the delightful atmosphere of village life and interact with the local community.
Indulge in a delightful lunch served at a local home, providing a taste of authentic flavors.
After lunch, visit local families and schools to gain insights into their daily routines and traditions. Then, enjoy outdoor activities such as swimming and kayaking on the tranquil waters of the lake.
Later in the day, embark once more on a serene boat cruise across the main body of Hoa Binh Lake and be amazed at the picturesque scenery that unfolds along the way. Arrive at Thung Nai pier where your vehicle awaits to transfer you back to Hanoi.
The tour concludes in Hanoi around 6:00 PM.
