Take a boat ride across the crystal-clear waters, surrounded by lush green hills and dotted with small islands. Explore traditional villages along the lakeshore, experience firsthand the unique culture of the Da Bac people, and enjoy discovering the stunning natural scenery.
Day 01: Hanoi - Mai Chau valley
8.00AM: Get picked up from your hotel and leave the busy city behind as you drive through the beautiful countryside and green mountains on your way to Mai Chau. Nestled in a picturesque valley, Mai Chau is home to the Thai ethnic villages with rich traditional culture, featuring wooden stilt houses set amidst lush green fields and rice paddies and is celebrated for its natural beauty.
After lunch, take a relaxed walk through the village and meet the friendly locals. Then, take a bike ride along paths that wind through villages at the foot of the mountains to meet and interact with locals. For those who love adventure, there is an option to climb 1,200 steps up the mountain to see the amazing Chieu Cave nearby. Afterward, return to the village to relax. Enjoy a delicious home-cooked dinner and watch traditional dance and song performances.
Spend a peaceful night in a cozy stilt house.

Day 02: Mai Chau - Muong village in Da Bac
After breakfast, bid farewell to your host and travel by car to the pier on the bank of Hoa Binh Lake. From there, embark on a short boat cruise across the lake to Mo Hem village in Da Bac. This charming village, nestled beside Hoa Binh Lake, is home to a Muong hill tribe community who maintain very well their traditional lifestyle and customs.
Check into your homestay and savor a home-cooked lunch.
In the afternoon, explore the village on foot or by bicycle, engage with friendly locals, and even participate in their daily activities if you wish. You can also enjoy activities like rafting and swimming in the lake.
In the evening, indulge in a dinner of local delicacies and spend the night in a traditional stilt house homestay.

Day 03: Da Bac - Hoa Binh - Hanoi
After breakfast, enjoy a light trek along trails and village paths by the lake. This activity provides you with the opportunity to admire the scenic landscapes of mountains and water, meet and interact with local communities, and learn about their way of life.
Return to the homestay for lunch, check out, and bid farewell to your host. Then, embark on a leisurely cruise on Hoa Binh Lake. During the cruise, you'll stop to visit Thac Bo Grotto and Thac Bo Holy Temple.
Continue cruising to Thung Nai pier, where your car and driver will be waiting to take you back to Hanoi.
The trip ends in Hanoi around 5:00 PM.
