Day 01: Hanoi - Ba Be Lake cruise
Depart from your hotel in Hanoi at 8:00 AM and head towards Ba Be, where you'll enjoy picturesque views of the rural landscape along the journey. Stop in Thai Nguyen to visit the Museum of Ethnology. As you continue, marvel at the stunning mountains, forests, and quaint villages nestled on the hillsides.
Arrive in Ba Be in the early afternoon. Embark on a tranquil cruise on the Nang River to Puong Cave and the enchanting Ba Be Lake which often referred to as "the precious jade" of Vietnam. This natural wonder is the largest lake in the mountainous region, characterized by its stunning emerald waters and forested islands. Check into your accommodation and take some time to unwind or wander around to engage with locals, observe their daily activities, and capture the beauty of the surroundings through photographs.
In the evening, indulge in a dinner of local delicacies and rice wine while experiencing the warm hospitality of your host.
Note: You can choose either to stay overnight in a local house or opt for a resort/eco lodge facility for tonight. Please let us know your choice, and we will arrange accordingly.

Day 02: Cycling & visit Hua Ma Cave - Cao Bang
After breakfast, hop on a bicycle for a leisurely ride along a picturesque path that winds through charming villages and stunning natural scenery toward Hua Ma Cave. If you prefer, you can take a car instead - the distance, depending on your starting point, is approximately 5 to 12 km one way. This cave, a natural treasure in Bac Kan province, is filled with beautiful formations of stalagmites and stalactites and is steeped in mystic legend.
Return to your accommodation to check out and then leave Ba Be for Cao Bang. Pause for lunch at a local restaurant in Cho Ra town before continuing your adventurous journey. Prepare to be mesmerized by the breathtaking scenery of mountains and forests along the winding roads. Upon arrival in Cao Bang in the late afternoon, check in at the hotel and take some time to unwind or explore the surroundings. Enjoy your evening at leisure, and spend the night in the comfort of the hotel.

Day 03: Ban Gioc Falls & Nguom Ngao Cave
Embark on an expedition to the remote northern reaches of Cao Bang Province, where the winding roads offer an ascent to lofty elevations, revealing captivating vistas of the surrounding terrain. En route, pause at Trung Khanh, a quaint mountain town brimming with local charm, before venturing onwards to the magnificent Ban Gioc Waterfall.
Renowned as Vietnam's largest and most celebrated waterfall, Ban Gioc sits along the border with China, offering a breathtaking natural spectacle. Cascading amidst lush greenery, its waters plunge dramatically into a pristine pool below. This awe-inspiring cascade captivates visitors with its sheer grandeur and raw beauty.
Next, explore Nguom Ngao, a fascinating cave located just 5 km from Ban Gioc, known as one of Cao Bang Province's top tourist spots.
Return to Cao Bang city in the afternoon and enjoy your time at leisure.

Day 04: Cao Bang - Lang Son
After breakfast, depart around 8:00 AM and journey through That Khe and Dong Khe to reach Lang Son. Make several stops along the way to explore Tay and Nung hill tribe villages and capture stunning photos of the picturesque farms and terraced fields on the hill slopes.
Upon arrival in Lang Son, visit notable attractions such as Nhi Thanh and Tam Thanh Cave, along with the historic Mac Citadel relic. These sites hold significant natural and historical importance in Lang Son city. Later, take time to explore Dong Dang's central market, renowned for its diverse range of products. Check into the hotel and enjoy your time at leisure.

Day 05: Lang Son - Binh Lieu
Leave Lang Son City and set off on a picturesque journey towards Binh Lieu.
Binh Lieu is famed for its breathtaking mountain landscapes, lush forests, and vibrant terraced fields. This area is home to diverse ethnic minority groups, including the Tay, San Chay, Hoa, and notably, the high-hat Dao people (Dao Thanh Phan), who are dedicated to preserving their unique customs and traditions.
Upon reaching Binh Lieu, settle into your comfortable rammed earth house nestled amidst the lush natural surroundings and awe-inspiring mountain scenery.
In the afternoon, embark on a leisurely trek along tranquil trails winding through fragrant anise and cinnamon forests. Explore the villages of the Dzao people, where charming homes dot the hillsides amidst terraced fields. Visit local homes and engage with locals to gain insights into their customs and traditions.
Return to your house to unwind, and in the evening, savor a home-cooked meal featuring traditional dishes accompanied by homemade rice whiskey.

Day 06: Binh Lieu Nature explore
After breakfast, gear up for an adventurous day in Binh Lieu. Begin with a thrilling trek along buffalo trails, winding through anise, cinnamon, and bamboo forests on untouched paths to reach a pristine, unspoiled waterfall. Though the trek may be challenging, it offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the mystical beauty of the jungle and mountains.
After indulging in a picnic lunch by the waterfalls, continue your adventure by heading to the Tien Yen River for an exhilarating kayaking experience along one of Vietnam's most picturesque rivers. Glide through gentle rapids that enhance the thrill of your journey, and perhaps, take a refreshing swim in the emerald waters along the way.
Later, return to your house to unwind and savor a delightful dinner by the fire.

Day 07: Binh Lieu - Halong Bay cruise
Begin your day awakening to the tranquil melodies of nature in Binh Lieu, savoring the breathtaking vista of mist-shrouded mountains. Following breakfast, set out on a picturesque journey along the meandering mountain route toward Huc Dong. Here, you'll have the opportunity to delve into the captivating allure of Khe Van waterfalls, renowned for their natural splendor in Binh Lieu.
Standing at approximately 100 meters tall, the waterfall is segmented into three distinct tiers, each adorned with a crystalline azure pool at its base, while vibrant emerald waters cascade over the rocks, crafting a mesmerizing spectacle.
Afterward, continue your journey to Halong City. Upon arrival, board your vessel around noon and indulge in a delectable lunch as you leisurely cruise amidst the myriad of dramatic limestone islets dotting the bay. In the afternoon, enjoy kayaking amidst the karsts and breathtaking scenery of Halong Bay, or opt for a refreshing swim at one of its pristine beaches.
As the day ends, enjoy a sunset party and happy hour on the top desk while the boat sail smoothly to where it will stay for the night, surrounded by beautiful islands.

Day 08: Halong Bay cruise - Hanoi
Get up early in the morning if you wish to see the sunrise over the beautiful scenery of the bay while having a cup of tea or coffee.
After breakfast, go on a rowing boat tour to explore a natural tunnel and a floating village in Halong Bay. Then, return to the main boat, check out, and enjoy brunch as you cruise through another part of the bay back to the pier.
Get off the boat around midday, between 11:00 and 11:30, depending on the boat and tide. Then, you'll be driven back to Hanoi and dropped off at your hotel. Trip ends. See you again!
