Depart Hanoi at 8:00 AM on a 1.5 hour scenic drive through charming countryside to Ninh Binh province, known for its dramatic karst landscapes, rustic rural scenes, and historical treasures.

Your first visit today is the Hoa Lu ancient capital where Vietnamese kings reigned in the 10th and 11th centuries. Wander through sacred temples dedicated to these monarchs, where the echoes of royalty and history fill the atmospheric surroundings.

Next, climb to the summit of Yen Ma Mountain for a stunning panoramic view of the karst landscape. Following this, a short drive takes you to Tam Coc. Here, embark on a 2-hour boat trip along a winding river, passing through limestone caves adorned with mesmerizing stalactites. As you glide between the towering limestone mountains, you'll understand why this area is often called "Halong Bay on land."
